Wooden Watch - Limited Edition - Black Oak
We present a unique Limited Edition covering 50 pieces of watches made of black oak, also known as bog-wood (or abanos, morta) obtained from naturally fallen trees that, according to The Laboratory of Absolute Dating (Laboratorium Datowań Bezwzględnych), were stored under the surface of the water for 3200 years.
It is estimated that the black oak “deposits” are much rarer than, for example, diamond deposits. In Tsarist Russia, people having furniture made of black oak were put to death. It was reserved exclusively for the tsar's court.
Each watch we create has its own individual number engraved on the bottom, a certificate of authenticity, the Swiss ETA movement, a sapphire crystal and a strap made of natural cowhide, hand-sewn in a friendly Polish manufactory.
The watch is packed in a beautiful hand-made wooden box.
Every watch is impregnated exclusively with linseed oil or beeswax.
